Key Features Comparison
P90X3, unlike P90X or P90X2, have condensed from 60+ minute workouts to 30 minute workouts. There is also a short 3-5 minute cool down at the end of each workout. P90X3 features 16 total workouts in the program and is designed to be done six days per week, with one day for rest. Like the name suggest, P90X3 is a 90 day program. For those who are familiar with P90X and P90X2, the workouts will be very similar to those in P90X3. The major difference is that there is less warm up and cool down than there were in earlier editions of the program.
Focus T25 is a condensed version of HIIT (high intensity interval training) program that features 25 minute workouts. There are little-to-no breaks during this 25 minute aerobic burst. T25 Workouts
T25 exercises are similar to P90X3 workouts, but they tend to move quicker from one movement to the next. You will often find yourself falling behind early in the program, but T25 does a good job at allowing you to modify if you canât keep up with the lead instructor. Instead of reps, youâre generally asked to do as many reps as possible in 30 or 60 second intervals. In the battle of P90X3 vs T25, each at home exercise program has strengths that will appeal to people of all fitness levels. Both programs offer a good mix of cardio, strength and power movements, as well as balance and flexibility exercises that will burn fat, promote healthy muscle growth, and improve overall health.
T25 might appeal more to budget-conscious or time-conscious people. The workouts are a little shorter, and less equipment is needed for the majority of exercises compared to P90X3. Their nutrition plan focuses on meals with just five ingredients that can be prepped in five minutes, so those people who are always on the go might appreciate the theme of quick workouts and quick (and healthy) meals.
P90X3, while also much quicker than P90X or P90X2, does last longer than T25 and also requires more equipment. Thanks for the great analysis, this really helps. I like the idea of not really worrying about any equipment (besides a resistance band), so I’m leaning toward’s T25. I having trouble finding out how many days a week you have to do the program? It also seems like P90X3 doesn’t make this info available either. I assume both are 5 days a week, but I wanted to double check before ordering.
Great question, they are different. P90X3 is 6 days a week and there is an optional stretch program on the 7th day (see the Dynamix routine above). T25’s program is 5 days a week.
