When comparing the Maxi Climber vs Weslo Climber, the Weslo adds resistance, which makes it one of the most versatile vertical climber machines we tested. You won’t gain anything in terms of variety of your workout, but the added resistance is a nice upgrade for anyone looking for something a little more advanced in their workout.
Conquer Vertical Climber
There isn’t much difference between the Maxi Climber vs Conquer Vertical Climber aside from the digital timer on the Maxi Climber. You are only using your body weight as resistance, but that doesn’t mean you don’t get a killer workout.

Conquer Vertical Climber
There is no LCD screen to tell you how long you’ve been working out or how many reps you did. This machine is made of solid construction, and if you are OK just getting the burn and not seeing any digital readouts, then this is a good product to invest in.

Durability and Storage
The last thing you want in your home gym is a big clunky climber that you can’t fold up or store easily. Part of what makes the best vertical climber machine is how easy it is to hide. Another aspect would be how durable the machine is, because the more you use it, the more chance it stands to get banged up.
VersaClimber
This product is the most durable thanks to it’s high grade materials. It only requires 36″ x 44″ of floor space, and can be stored under an 8′ ceiling.
MaxiClimber
Solid construction and minimal floor space needed, but like most other vertical climbers we tested, it doesn’t fold up. Still, this product will last a long time.
Weslo Climber
While it takes a while to set up, this product feels very sturdy for me. There is a 250 pound weight limit, which might affect some, but the look and feel of this product is great for me. Can be stored under 7.5′ ceilings.
Conquer Vertical Climber
This is the best vertical climber machine in terms of storage, as it is the only one that folds up in between uses. The material is on par with the other models we tested, but for anyone with a small space or who would want to move it from one room to the next for whatever reason, this is the product for you.
Best Durability: VersaClimber
Overall Best Vertical Climber Machine
Our top overall winner isn’t the most expensive, but it does offer the best combination of variety in modes, value, and is a well-built machine. The Weslo Step Climber takes our top spot thanks to it’s ability to add resistance and accommodate anyone from beginner to expert. You don’t have to pay much more than other products in it’s category, but the extra few bucks is worth it for a well-built vertical climber.
